New airlines expand destination to Cuba’s airport in Camagüey

Camagüey, Cuba, Oct 30 (Prensa Latina) Camagüey’s international airport is currently increasing its operations after the disruption caused by Covid-19, and reconnects the destinations of Cuba and Suriname through the Fly AllWays airline.

The terminal, certified by the International Sanitary Control, and which intensifies health measures and protocols, now joins Viva Aerbus, from Mexico, another airline to be expanded as a safe destination to the east of the country.

Despite the US restrictions on terminals outside of Havana, the capital, this airport maintains rates of efficiency and quality in services, especially at the beginning of the high season for tourism on the country.

According to the information offered to the Cuban News Agency (ACN) by Silvia Ferrer, head of the airport unit, «the aircraft belonging to Viva Aerobus arrive at the ramp of the Camaguey station every Tuesday, Wednesday and Saturday, since October 20.»

More than a week after the reopening, compliance with the rules and protocols at the aerodrome allowed the safe arrival of over 500 passengers so far.
