This executive told Sputnik that Russia is fighting the health and economic consequences of this pandemic like many other countries.
He added in a statement that the goal of Russia as Germany’s important economic partner is exaggerated regarding the national economy, alluding to criticism.
According to the text published by this association’s press service, Russia is the sixth largest economy in the world in terms of purchasing power parity, and has the third largest hard currency reserve.
The executive explained that that country remains a promising growing market for German companies, especially when it comes to future issues such as digitization, Industry 4.0 or green restructuring of the energy sector.
He noted that Russia also has significant resources which central Europe lacks to develop renewable energy.
