According to the poll, 72% of citizens agree or are very satisfied with the actions of the Federal Government and consider that the Angela Merkel administration is doing a good job in the fight against the pandemic.
This is the highest score achieved in the investigations carried out by the DeutschlandTrend survey, for ARD public television.
The conservative parties -the Christian Democratic Union (CDU) and the Christian Social Union in Bavaria (CSU)- have been benefited particularly from the latest results.
The CDU and CSU endorsed the deal in March 2018 and facing the situation generated by pandemic, the country’s leadership was facing one of its worst crises in last few years.
Meanwhile, the far-right Alterative for Germany would lose two points and finish by 10%.
Meanwhile, the Free Democratic Party would decrease one percentage point and stand at 5%; its lowest figure since January 2017.
The Left Party would also lose two points and reach 7%.
The Greens could count on 22% support, becoming the second most voted force.
