In statements to a Brazilian media, reviewed on the website of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Arreaza questioned the «irresponsible» attitude by his counterpart Ernesto Araujo, given his refusal to respond to a letter sent on August 7 to establish bilateral coordination mechanisms to face the health crisis.
Caracas is ready to activate all possible cooperation at the binational border, through the exchange of scientific capabilities, diagnostic tests, among other actions, the Venezuelan foreign minister stressed.
The diplomat also reiterated the provision that Brazil reactivates its consulates in Venezuela, so that they can serve its citizens residing in the Bolivarian nation, who currently do not have any consular protection.
Arreaza underlined the need to seek a solution to go beyond differences and give way to a new dynamic of comprehensive bilateral relations, for the good of the peoples of the two nations.
