The national headquarters of the Union of Journalists (UPEC) will host for a month the exhibition of the 25 snapshots that show the reporting work of colleagues from various media outlets throughout the country.
«In this exhibition you can see the interior of the agencies, the radio and television stations, the whole guild is represented,» commented Molina who currently works at the Latin American News Agency Prensa Latina.
The photos show reporters, editors, photographers, cameramen in full journalistic exercise, either inside their agencies or on the street while covering news, the author said.
Meanwhile, UPEC Vice President Jorge Legañoa highlighted the aesthetic values of the images and highlighted the work of the photographer who was jocularly nicknamed the paparazzi of the press for his efforts to capture his colleagues in action.
«Vladimir’s lens appears when we least expect it. I think he’s one of the few people who insists on taking reporters on the ground, right where their work starts,» he said.
This initiative is part of the celebrations for Press Day in Cuba, a date instituted on March 14 in tribute to the launch of the Patria newspaper, created in 1892 by National Hero Jose Marti.
The days of the Press Festival include cultural, recreational, literary and musical events that include the presentation of awards to outstanding professionals of the guild.
