The statement celebrates the 32nd anniversary of the bilateral diplomatic relations between Cuba and EU, reaching a new dimension.
Cuba´s Foreign Ministry said such a cooperation gives priority to food safety and adaptation to climate change, renewable energies, modern economy, culture and also to the preservation of heritage.
Cuba and EU are united by historical cultural ties. Cuba holds full diplomatic relations with the 27 EU member states. Their relations are regulated by the Political Dialogue and Cooperation Agreement, setting down guidelines for stable, mutually beneficial and long-term development.
The economic US blockade against Cuba and particularly its extraterritorial impact is the main drawback to trade, financial and investment development relations, the Cuban Foreign Ministry affirmed.
