The president received on Tuesday the CONFIEP Conservative leadership at the government palace, in order to coordinate actions to overcome economy collapse due to that nearly half of the productive apparatus stopped due to the general coronavirus lockdown measures started on March 15.
The visit was carried out amid questions about the concentration in large companies -grouped in CONFIEP- and some investigated for possible corruption of most of the funds of «Reactiva Peru» (Reactivate Peru) program to support businesses facing the affectation.
The efforts proposed aim to promote the public investment program named «Arranca Peru» (Get off the Ground, Peru), of public works in the Transport and Communications, Agriculture, Housing and Labor sectors, to generate one million jobs.
The president expressed interest in listening to the proposals by private entrepreneurs on the aforementioned program, which he hopes it will yield results during the second half of the year.
