In December 2019, Cuba’s Parliament approved the legislative plan in which organizations and institutions are involved in the presentation of legislative initiatives in accordance with the articles of the new Constitution of the Republic.
Although the Covid-19 pandemic has postponed this process, as stipulated, the People’s Supreme Court must present the legislators the Bill on Criminal Procedure, the Bill on People’s Courts and the Bill on Protecting the Constitutional Rights.
The Bill on the Administrative Process and the Code of Processes for Civil, Commercial, Labor and Social and Family Security matters, are also on the list.
The Bill on Protecting the Constitutional Rights will grant citizens the right to claim before the courts the restitution of their rights if they are violated by State bodies, officials, managers or employees.
