My friends, we cannot tolerate or turn a blind eye to racism and exclusion in any form and yet claim to defend the sacredness of every human life, Pope Francis stated.
«Today I join the Church in Saint Paul, Minneapolis and the entire United States, in praying for the rest of the soul of George Floyd and of all those others who have lost their lives as a result of the sin of racism.»
Let us pray for the consolation of their grieving families and friends and let us implore the national reconciliation and peace for which we yearn, the Pope stressed.

Ciudad del Vaticano, 3 jun (Prensa Latina) El papa Francisco se unió hoy en oración a la iglesia católica en Estados Unidos por el reposo del alma de George Floyd y demás personas muertas como resultado del pecado del racismo.
Al saludar a través de los medios de comunicación masiva a los feligreses de habla inglesa durante la Audiencia General semanal, el sumo pontífice dijo que “he sido testigo con gran preocupación de los inquietantes disturbios sociales en su país en días recientes”.
Mis amigos, no podemos tolerar o ignorar el racismo y la exclusión en cualquier forma y al mismo tiempo pretender defender la sacralidad de cada vida humana, indicó Francisco.
Hoy me uno a la iglesia en Saint Paul y Minneapolis y en todos los Estados Unidos, en oración por el reposo del alma de George Floyd y los demás quienes han perdido sus vidas como resultado del pecado del racismo”.
Oremos por el consuelo de sus afligidos familiares y amigos y roguemos por la reconciliación nacional y paz que anhelamos, subrayó.
