The edition of the well-known “Festival dei Popoli” will take place from November 15 to 22, and will make its debut in the virtual environment with an exclusive curatorship of works, online screenings and meetings with invited directors.
In Covid-19 times, it is inevitable to depend on streaming platforms, but the heart of the films is lost outside the cinema stage, noted the new artistic director of the event, Alessandro Stellino.
Stellino added that the novel coronavirus transformed the Festival’s arrangement, whose official selection includes 18 unpublished documentaries in Italy for the variety of styles and themes that characterize the current genre.
As a novelty, the event will open the sections dedicated to the youngest public (Popoli, for children and adolescents) along with the presentation of the best films from film schools across Europe.
