The meeting will be chaired by MAS’s leader, the most important and numerous political force in Bolivia, Evo Morales.
Candidates for Bolivia’s presidency and vice presidency such as, Luis Arce, Diego Pary, David Choquehuanca and Andronico Rodriguez, the figures most acknowledged by the MAS, and some other candidates must also attend the meeting.
Likewise, the attendance of hundreds of MAS members arriving from Bolivia is expected, despite the militarization of all departments.
Last Friday, Evo Morales, who is in an asylum condition in Argentina, received the candidates, except Rodriguez, who was unable to attend due to security concerns.
In the Buenos Aires’ encounter, they signed a deal for strengthening unity, leading up to the general elections.
The deal refers that the struggles of Bolivian social movements are historical and that the natural resources and the political, economic and social transformations already achieved are in severe danger.
