Al-Kaabi blamed the US military presence for the economic crisis that Iraq is suffering.
According to the Iraqi Resistance leader, the United States only understands the language of force and if Washington does not leave the country, Iraq will get the US out by fair means or foul, the head warned.
In al-Kaabi’s view, the US and its ally in the region, Saudi Arabia, are taking advantage of the popular demands of Iraqis to fuel chaos.
Al-Nujaba is part of the Popular Mobilization Units (al Hashd al-Shaabi, in Arabic), an alliance of some 40 irregular armed groups that since 2016 belong to the Iraqi Armed Forces.
Lately, they decreed a cessation of operations against the US military pending their withdrawal from the country.
