On Tuesday, at the request of the General Labor Confederation, workers started a strike which they call «dead ports» and should conclude on Friday, and whose effects are already seen, mainly on the island of Corsica.
In the north, the ports of Le Havre, Rouen, Calais and Dunkerque have been paralyzed and ships have not been loaded or unloaded, according to local media. The situation is similar in the ports of Saint Nazarene (west) and the oil refinery in the port of La Rochelle, thus preventing oil tankers from being refilled.
Other ports that have been blockaded by the strikers are Basses, in Bordeaux, and Marseille, in the south.
