The National Center for Control and Prevention said at a press briefing that the death toll continues in Wuhan, capital of Hubei province (center) and where the virus was originated, and infections reached 13 regions, included Beijing, Shanghai, Tianjin, Guangdong, Taiwan, Jiangxi, Hunan, Yunnan, Macao and Sichuan.
Meanwhile, six cases were registered in Thailand, Japan, South Korea and now in the United States.
Deputy Minister of China’s National Health Commission Li Bin warned that it is probable that the new coronavirus 2019-nCoV that cause the outbreak can mutate and expand, as the illness is mainly transmitted from person to person via the respiratory tract.
Faced with this scenario, Li recommended that Wuhan residents remain in the city in support of efforts to contain the virus.
