After the deliberations held at the Hotel Alba Caracas, the document calls on the peoples of the world to fight for the defense of life, the preservation of nature and to join wills to overcome the structural conditions that generate climate change.
The final document backs the demand to build a more just international order, which places the people’s interests at the forefront and allows the development of inclusive policies to overcome the prevailing social and economic inequalities between developed and underdeveloped nations.
Similarly, it calls on the citizens of the world to accompany the legitimate struggles for socio-economic progress on the basis of a broad, unitary platform against U.S. imperialism and repudiates the implementation of coercive measures by the United States, with particular condemnation of the economic blockade.
The participants in the meeting also reject the presence of US military bases in Latin America and the Caribbean and condemn the aggressions committed by the US government against the Middle East peoples.
In this sense, they repudiate the violation of the sovereignty of Syria and Iraq, the aggressions against Iran, as well as the assassination of Commander Qasem Soleimani, whom they call a martyr of the peoples of the world who fight for freedom.
The final declaration of the meeting calls for respect for the sovereignty of Venezuela, Cuba and Nicaragua, whose legitimate governments are striving to maintain peace on the basis of independence and democracy.
With the slogan For Life, Sovereignty and Peace, the event that concludes this Friday dealt with issues related to military aggressions, the experiences of progressive governments as an alternative to neoliberalism, as well as the battle of ideas and the policy of anti-capitalist awareness formation.
