According to Russian Foreign Ministry Spokeswoman Maria Zakharova, at the forum, which will close on Sunday, Lavrov will discuss security issues in the Middle East, North Africa, the Arctic and the Balkans.
The minister is also participating in panels and roundtable discussions to debate pressing issues related to energy security and public health, the impact of growing protectionism in trade and the rapid technological change accelerated in international security.
In his speech on «Global Disorder – Other Opportunities for the New Agenda», the diplomat will present Russia’s stance on international security and world stability, as the world order degrades rapidly, she pointed out.
He is also expected to take part in the debate on the Primako Reading Forum on «Priorities of Russia’s foreign policy in the era of a new confrontation of big powers».
