At the end of the meeting, Monsignor Jesus Castro, auxiliary bishop of Santo Domingo for the Dominican Episcopal Conference and spokesperson for the Commission, pointed out that yesterday the Dominican people demonstrated a sense of civility, exercised their right and «saw the results as they came out.»
He also congratulated all his compatriots «at this moment because their right has been respected».
The Accompaniment Commission was composed of Monsignor Pedro Brache, president of the National Council of Private Enterprise (Conep), Radhames Martinez, head of the National Association of Young Entrepreneurs and Cesar Dargam, vice president of Conep.
Rev. Nersido Borg, president of the Board of Dialogue and Christian Representation; Pastor Lacen, of the Dominican Council of Evangelical Unity; Hamilk Chahin, of Manifiesto Ciudadano; and Sonia Diaz, general coordinator of Citizen Participation also attended.
