She recalled that in the first half of this year, Honduras holds the pro tempore presidency of the regional agency and that Nicaragua will do so from July to December.
Cerezo attended on Monday a meeting at the Nicaraguan Foreign Ministry, in which Minister of Foreign Affairs Denis Moncada and other Cabinet members presented the plans and priorities of the government for 2020 in social, economic and development areas to the diplomatic corps accredited to this country.
This year the Nicaraguan government will strengthen respect for international law and the UN Charter within the framework of multilateral organizations and bilateral relations, advocating the peaceful settlement of differences among States and nations, Murillo added.
The vice president also explained that Nicaragua will remain active in the Community of Latin American and Caribbean States, Central America, the Bolivarian Alliance for the Peoples of Our America – Peoples’ Trade Treaty, and the Non-Aligned Movement, among other international forums.
