A week after authorities withdrew more than 1,400 migrants who were living badly at a settlement near Porte d’Aubervilliers, next to Paris’s beltway, the provincial government said that this new evacuation would put an end to this kind of camping in the capital.
Migrants were transported in several buses to gyms and reception centers in the region, which the government delegation manages.
French Interior Minister Christophe Castaner promised in November to evacuate all migrant camps in northeastern Paris, commissioning the police to carry out the necessary devices to avoid further resettlement.
