During a meeting held in Baghdad between Iranian military attache Brigadier General Mostafa Moradian and Iraqi Defense Minister Najah al-Shammari, both officials agreed to explore strategies to boost mutual support.
Moradian and Al-Shammari stressed the relevance of the fight against terrorism, especially against the Islamic State sleeper cells that still remain in Iraq.
They also thanked the armed forces of the two countries for their performance in the fight against the novel SARS-CoV-2 coronavirus that has spread almost worldwide, where about 80,000 people have died.
