We urgently need to eliminate hatred for ethnic reasons and overcome political or religious differences that trigger strife and hostilities, because it is one of the avenues to set up the foundations of a country in constant progress, she added.
Zewde, during her speech at a ceremony at Friendship Square, organized to celebrate the 15th Day of Nations, Nationalities and Peoples, urged all Ethiopians to work to achieve a sustainable stability.
We really need to have a red line when it comes to the domestic integrity and sovereignty, she reiterated, and urged citizens, «mainly young people», to protect our country «from acts that try to violate this red line.»
Ethiopians, she stated, must strive to investigate the main causes of all problems, learn from our past to act in the present and better project the future, in order to achieve a reasonable solution to domestic challenges.
