The president arrived in the capital at 3:40 pm local time, accompanied by his wife, Fabiola Yañez, Justice Minister Marcela Losardo, Foreign Minister Felipe Sola, Worship Secretary Guillermo Oliveri, Strategic Affairs Minister Gustavo Beliz and Communication and Press Secretary Juan Pablo Biondi.
According to the schedule, Fernandez will have an immediate meeting with the executive director of the World Food Program, David Beasly, in the facilities of that institution in Rome. On Friday at 10:30 local time, the president will be received by Pope Francis and Vatican Secretary of State Pietro Parolin.
In the afternoon, he will meet with Prime Minister Giuseppe Conte and President Sergio Mattarella.
On Saturday, Fernandez will hold talks with the director general of the United Nations Food and Agriculture Organization, Qu Dongyu.
According to the schedule, the Argentine president will arrive in Germany on February 2 and meet with Federal Chancellor Angela Merkel the next day, while on the 4th he will talk in Madrid with the head of the Spanish government, Pedro Sanchez.
The president will end his trip in France where he will be received by his counterpart Emmanuel Macron on February 5th.
