In a public statement issued in this capital, the CCHDH reiterated the allegations of human rights violations made by a great number of domestic and international entities.
Likewise, the statement warned that despite the severe current crisis «no measure has been translated so far into fostering structural changes to the prevailing social and political economic model», allowing some rights such as health, social security, decent work, wages and decent housing, be guaranteed.
By assessing Chile’s current situation after three months of the social outbreak, the CCHDH pointed out that the Government has only promoted legal initiatives to deepen the crisis model, including the National Health Fund (FONASA) reform.
