The remaining cases are all related to Da Nang, except two imported, one in southern Ho Chi Minh City and another in central Ba Ria-Vung Tau.
Quang Nam, another province with a more compromised situation, reported eight patients with the virus. Hai Duong and Hanoi, capital of Vietnam, reported one each.
Friday’s death toll remained at 10, although according to the Ministry of Health, several people are in critical health conditions. To date, three patients were discharged from hospitals, totaling 395 recoveries.
All Covid-19 deaths were reported in the last week, as of the July 25 new outbreak in Da Nang, some 760 kilometers south of Hanoi. Before that date, the country had spent 99 consecutive days without reporting internal cases related to the disease.
Before this second wave of coronavirus, Vietnam was going through a «new normal» stage that allowed it to focus on reviving the economy. Now, many regions and cities in the country have had to resume some or all previous prevention measures.
