Al Kadhimi reiterated in his interview with Trump that Iraq will not lend its territory for any measure against Iran or any other country, Tehran Times highlighted in a recent edition.
According to the Iranian news agency ISNA, Al Kadhimi displayed a courageous and sincere behavior, saying that Iraq will not be a platform to attack Iran, Turkey or any other neighboring country.
Al Kadhimi expressed himself in the same terms when he met with Nancy Pelosi, speaker of the United States House of Representatives, to whom he ratified that Iraqi sovereignty is untouchable and any treatment passes through respect for it.
The Iraqi government invited US forces in 2014 to fight extremist gangs that were defeated in December 2017, according to a statement by then Prime Minister Haider al-Abadi.
