In a statement, the ministry said that these new patients were infected by a truck driver who worked between Damascus and the border with Jordan, in the town of Ras al-Maarra, which has been isolated as a preventive measure.
The infected individuals were taken and admitted to the Zabadani hospital, 47 kilometers north of the Syrian capital.
To date, Syria maintains the closure of borders and the suspension of classes at the primary and secondary levels, but has eliminated the curfew and travel restrictions between provinces, with organized disinfection controls, among other measures to deal with the spread of outbreak.
