Serbia, the Balkans´ largest country, reported the total infected toll 1.908, 1,882 of them are hospitalized and 93 are using mechanical ventilation. The total death toll jumped to 51 (39 men and 12 women), with an average age of 64.04 years old. The mortality rate is 2.67%.
Slovenia, the most developed and one of the three members of the European Union (EU), confirmed 1,121 infected, of them 114 hospitalized and 30 in ICU, while death toll rose to 30.
Meanwhile, Croatia, also EU member, reached 1,182 infected, after 10,847 people tested. 374 hospitalized, 30 using mechanical ventilation, and 15 dead, while 125 patients have been discharged from hospital.
Concerning Bosnia and Herzegovina, 689 infected, 371 in the Federation and 304 in the Republika Srpska, the two entities that make up of the country together with the Brcko district, where they total 14, with a death toll of 27.
North Macedonia´s health authorities reported that the toll of infected rose to 555, of them 541 active cases, while 74 people remain hospitalized, of which 15 are in critical condition and 11 are using mechanical ventilations. 23 people has been discharged from hospital, while death toll increased 18.
Montenegro, the last state in the region to register about the new coronavirus, confirmed 223 positives, with 113 of them in Podgorica, the capital, and the lowest death toll, only two.
