Dr. Mufinda, who is also representative of the multisectoral commission for the prevention and fight against the Covid-19 pandemic, requested the population not to be deceived by fake news about an alleged start of the Covid-19 vaccinations in the country.
For the time being, he referred, Public Health is only working on the creation of conditions in the chains for cold storage, conservation and transfer of vaccines, which includes the acquisition of new refrigerated rooms.
The vaccinations against Covid-19, Dr. Mufinda explained, will not happen as a campaign, its execution will be entirely a responsibility of the Ministry of Health and; therefore, will be carried out in the healthcare centers, the director insisted.
So far, Angola amounts to 15,804 Covid-19 cases, including 358 deaths, 8,579 recoveries and 6,867 active cases, Dr. Mufinda updated, after specifying the situation of the pandemic in the last 24 hours on a national scale.
